Ch. Innisfree's Standing Ovation "Sassi"

Sassi was purchased as a very young pup from Innisfree Kennels, back in 1980. Here she is on her first day home, being placed in a baby show dog pose for the very first time, just a cute little ball of fluff:

Here she is at her very first dog show, a fun match where she took Best in Sweeps at the Roanoke Kennel Club fun match, as well as Best in Match:

And as a young adult, a little over a year old, taking Best of Breed (from the Open class) over some of the top Siberians in the country at that time:

Sassi loved to show, and although shown only a few times after finishing her championship, she did take a Group 1 and a Group 3 before being retired.  Sassi also produced Champion Meja's Confederate Gray, who was took his first points and a major from the Bred-by class while still at Meja, before going to Rockland and finishing his championship with 4 major wins and living out his life with Michele Szczepanski. "Rebel" was co-owned by Michele and Rose (Rockland) and Melanie of Meja Siberians. He was also a champion producer, producing a regional specialty winner, Ch. Rockland's Starburst who took a 5 point major at the Garden State Siberian Husky specialty.

Many thanks to Kathleen Kanzler of Innisfree, who took a chance by offering us a show quality puppy when we were first getting started---Sassi was our first dog who was really competitive and we greatly enjoyed her show career.
